During this period, a number of important individuals rose to prominence, including Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, Raja Rammohun Roy (who is regarded as the Father of the Indian Renaissance), and many more.
  • The Indian Renaissance was greatly influenced by the socio-religious reform movements of the 19th century in India.
