In This Article We Going to Understand the Difference between Culture and Civilization
Determining the relation between culture and civilization is a complex topic in and of itself since there are several ways to describe each of these concepts. First off, culture in the context of an ancient society refers to a certain way of life; but, when this way of life spread across a considerable area and became the standard, it was called โcivilization.โ
For instance, there were a number of local cultures extant before the Harappan civilization. Civilization is the result of one of them persisting beyond its borders and developing a sophisticated way of life over a wide region. Stated differently, civilization is seen as the pinnacle of culture. Furthermore, several researchers attempted to connect the evolution of ancient civilization to urbanization and the understanding of writing as an art. In this way, civilization came to represent the pinnacle of materialistic existence.

However, according to Abid Hussain, cultural components can only attain a higher degree of existence when material pleasures are combined with the ability to uphold moral principles. However, such a life goes against the civilization when it compromises some moral values.Subsequently, an effort has been made to connect culture and civilization to their respective intrinsic qualities and outer layers.
Put another way, culture is an inherent characteristic, while civilization is its external shell. We may use the example of a flower to explain this. The flower’s petals are thought of as culture, and the scent of flowers as civilization. When compared, external features are less important than inner quality. The internal quality is deviated from its virtue because the exterior quality is given more weight.
As a result, many academics believed that the growth of both was in conflict with one another. In fact, according to German historian Spengler, there is a visible decline in culture as civilization develops.
